EQUIPMENT PICK UP RENTAL AGREEMENT





 RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

*Valid state issued Driver’s License or ID Card

*Kayak Pickups are payable by Credit Card Only. Your Credit Card will be kept on file until return and inspection of the kayak.

*Each adult age 18 or over must sign Kayak Pickup Participation, Wavier and Release Form. A properly fitted USCG Approved life vest must be worn at all times while aboard the kayak.

*A parent or guardian of any minor must sign a Kayak Pickup Participation, Wavier and Release Form on behalf of any minor children who will be aboard a kayak.

MINOR CHILDREN POLICY:

*CHILDREN MUST BE 13 YEARS OR OLDER TO PADDLE A KAYAK AND WEAR A PROPERLY FITTED USCG APPROVED LIFE VEST (PFD) AT ALL TIMES WHILE ABOARD THE KAYAK

GENERAL POLICY:

*Renter is responsible for securing kayaks to their vehicle and for any damages, injury or death resulting from inappropriate or inadequate securement.

*Only one person shall be aboard the kayak and not exceed the safe weight limit of 300lbs including person, supplies and gear

*Renter will not drag the kayak and is responsible for damages caused by dragging

*Renter is responsible for dents, warping or other damage to the kayak caused by improper attachment to the vehicle

*Renter has valid Vehicle Liability Insurance is aware of and agrees to abide by ALL Federal and State Regulations concerning kayak transportation, boating, paddling and fishing

*Renter will NOT transport or operate the kayak under the influence of alcohol or drugs

*Renter is in good physical health and capable of loading, transporting and paddling a kayak

*By accepting possession of the kayak, Renter agrees that the kayak is clean and free of debris and odors

*Renter will not place bait, fish, fish attractant, perishable food, empty containers, etc. inside kayak hatches

*Renter will thoroughly wash any bait, attractant, fish remains, slime, etc. from the kayak deck and seat

*Renter will not use hatches as ice chest - melted ice will fill the kayak with water

*Renter will not tie kayak to dock where damage from rubbing or collision may occur

*Renter will not trespass on private property or docks

*Renter will notify Toledo Bend Kayak Rental, LLC immediately of any accident, damage or theft involving the kayak

*Renter will keep the kayak at least 50 feet away from moving watercraft, motorboat launch areas, gasoline docks and shall avoid the marked boat lanes at all times

*Renter is responsible for all launch fees where required.

*Toledo Bend Kayak Rental LLC reserves the right to refuse rental services for any reason.

DAMAGES TO EQUIPMENT/FAILURE TO RETURN EQUIPMENT

I authorize Toledo Bend Kayak Rental, LLC to charge my Credit Card On File for late turn in, lost, stolen, or damaged equipment, cleaning fees, and/or abandoned kayak recovery in addition to rental and delivery fees in accordance with the following schedule:

Late Return - Late Fee of $25 will be billed for each kayak not returned by 6pm. Overnight rentals are scheduled based on availability. Contact us to check availability of extending your rental to the next day.

LOST OR DAMAGED:

Paddle - $65 per paddle

Life Vest - $45 per life vest

Phone Pouch - $12

Lost or Stolen Kayak - $750

Kayak Seat - $140

Safety Flag - $60

Light Mast - $75

Fishing Net - $100

Measuring Board - $40

Track Mount Rod Holder - $32

$250 Minimum Cleaning Fee to remove bait, fish debris, spoiled food, or other odorous material left on or in the kayak. 

Kayak Hull And Deck Damages: $200 Minimum up to replacement of kayak to repair hull damage (damages will be billed to the credit card on file in accordance with repair cost as determined by Toledo Bend Kayak Rental, LLC). DO NOT DRAG THE KAYAK!

Abandoned Kayak Recovery (failure to return): $125 per kayak, up to replacement of kayak and loss of projected revenue

RENTER AGREES AS FOLLOWS:

RENTER WILL NOT EXCEED THE 300LB WEIGHT LIMIT OF THE KAYAK

RENTER WILL NOT OPERATE THE KAYAK DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER INCLUDING HIGH WINDS, THUNDERSTORMS, ETC.

OVERNIGHT RENTERS WILL NOT OPERATE THE KAYAK(S) AFTER LEGAL SUNSET AND BEFORE LEGAL DAWN AND WILL SECURE THE KAYAKS DURING OVERNIGHT HOURS TO PREVENT THEFT.

LIFE VESTS: RENTER AGREES TO WEAR THE PROVIDED US COAST GUARD APPROVED TYPE III LIFE VEST (PFD) AT ALL TIMES WHILE ABOARD THE KAYAK.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCE PLEASE CALL 911. WE CANNOT COME GET YOU!

KAYAKS ARE DUE BACK DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS. OVERNIGHT RENTALS CAN BE RESERVED AS AVAILABLE.

Toledo Bend Kayak Rental LLC does not guarantee water-resistant phone pouches, bags or other equipment will keep your items dry. Please use care with cell phones, etc.


We do not rent during inclement weather or when weather alerts are predicted.
