Warning Under Massachusetts law an Equine Professional is not Liable for an injury, or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to section 2D or chapter 128 of the General Law I agree to "hold Harmless" VanderZicht Stables (Located at Dutchill Downs, 61 Rawson Street, Uxbridge, MA) and its agents in the event of any accident, injury or death occurring while handling, riding, stabling, caring for or visiting horses on said property.
Riding Attire Students agree to come dressed to ride in proper riding attire consisting of: 1. Long pants: Jeans, breeches or riding tights. 2. Riding boots: Boots with a smooth sole and defined heel not more than 1½ inches high. 3. Fitted/Semi Fitted Shirt: Students will not be permitted to ride in loose or billowing clothes or dangling jewelry as it can pose a safety risk should loose items get caught/snagged on saddle or horse. 4. Appropriate riding attire for the weather/season (gloves, ear warmers, cooling towel, etc.). 5. Riding Helmet: An ASTM approved riding Helmet must be worn at all times while participating in mounted Equine Activities. We do have helmets to get started with or backup lesson helmets but we recommend purchasing your own ASTM approved helmet within the first 5 lessons. Tuition Program · At VanderZicht Stables we offer a tuition program for our serious riders: · Weekly lessons that are paid by the month in advance to reserve your lesson spot. · Tuition is a monthly average based on 52 lesson weeks per year. · Monthly tuition for 1 lesson per week is $335 ($78/lesson). · For students riding 2 times per week, base tuition is $670 (still $78/lesson). · 1/2 hour beginner private lesson will be ($78/lesson) $335 tuition- · Students starting mid-billing cycle will be charged the single lesson price of $80/lesson until the next full billing cycle. (Riders must ride at least 1x per week to be eligible for off-site competitions or events.) Unpaid spots will not be held in the event of student’s absence for any reason. A La Carte · Payment is due before services rendered – Cash, Check, Venmo or Credit invoice paid ahead · Weekly lessons can be scheduled for $85/lesson pending availability. These lessons are not in our weekly ongoing scheduler and you must contact Lauren or your trainer to schedule.
Tuition Payments · Riding lessons are to be paid in full by the month in advance. · Payment is due in full on or before the 7th of the month. Any payments outstanding after the 10th of the month will incur a $35 late fee. · Invoices are sent out via wave invoice or venmo request during the last week of each month for the next month’s billing cycle. Cash, Check, or Venmo payments are accepted with no additional service charge if preferred. · Credit Card fees are 4% if paying through wave invoice.
Cancellation Policy · Lessons MUST be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to qualify for a make-up lesson. · Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice or no calls/no shows will be charged full price for the missed lesson. · Students have 2 weeks to make up an excused rescheduled should their be availability in our schedule · Unpaid spots will not be held in the event of student’s absence for any reason. Lessons will be held rain or shine unless cancelled by trainer. If trainer cancels lessons for any reason, including severe weather, students will be given a make-up lesson to be used within the same parameters outlined above. In the event that lessons are cancelled, students will be notified via email through schedulista scheduler.
