VAULT ARMS RANGE RULES All users of the Vault Arms, LLC range must fill out and sign a Liability Waiver. Members must have a current and signed liability waiver on file before using the range. - Loaded firearms are allowed on Vault Arms, LLC property if properly holstered and not removed until on the firing line.
- Consuming alcoholic beverages or drugs (including prescription and over-the-counter medications) that will affect his/her ability to participate with a maximum state of awareness and in a completely safe manner, before or during live fire activities is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. The Range Officer will deny range access to anyone that is or appears to be in violation.
- Phones will be placed on SILENT. Disruptive activities, such as loud music or children that are not supervised properly on the firing line may result in the RSO asking your party to leave the property. Photos and videos may be taken as long as it is done by another person and not by the person handling the firearm.
- The minimum age to shoot on the range by oneself is eighteen. All participants under eighteen years of age must share a firing lane with a responsible adult.
- Individuals under eighteen years of age who have a handgun will not be allowed on the range and will be asked to leave the property unless accompanied by someone twenty-one years of age or older.
- At no time will firearms, regardless of whether they are loaded or not, be pointed at or in the direction of any person.
- All shooters and spectators on the firing lines and staging areas must wear ear and eye protection. These may be rented at the front counter.
- Fully Automatic firearms are prohibited, unless rented from Vault Arms, LLC.
- Black powder firearms are prohibited.
- Members will keep their fingers off the triggers and outside the trigger guard until the firearm is pointed safely down range.
- When on the range, firearms must be loaded in a shooting bay only. No loading of any firearms at the back bench.
- Any device prohibited by the ATF is prohibited on the range. This includes laser printed firearms.
- Firing of armor-piercing or tracer ammunition is prohibited, i.e., green tip or steel core.
- All ammunition brought into the range by customers may be inspected to ensure it meets the Vault Arms, LLC allowed ammunition requirements.
- Shooters must always follow the standard 4 Universal Firearm Safety rules.
- NO SHOOTING ACROSS LANES. Firearms will only be fired into the assigned lane. Failure to keep rounds on target may result in termination of membership, and/or banning from the facility.
- Everyone is required to adhere to the written Range Safety Operating Procedures (SOP).
- All vehicles shall be parked in the designated parking area, unless authorized by Vault Arms, LLC management.
- Range is to be used as posted, or as directed by the RSO on duty.
- All Vault Arms, LLC members must sign in at the counter prior to using the range and allow the RSO to identify them as a member or paid customer while on the range/classroom.
- Targets may be purchased at the range check-in counter. Personal targets are allowed if they meet the requirements of Vault Arms, LLC. No plastic bottles, glass targets, tin or aluminum cans, explosive targets, or other exotic targets may be used.
- Each shooter on the range must clean up their bench, take their targets down and sweep the brass from their area into the brass traps prior to leaving the range. If you drop something into the brass traps, please get assistance to retrieve the item. Do Not just lift the grating on your own.
- Only one person may shoot from the lane at a time.
- Accidental discharge of a firearm must be reported to the RSO. Depending on the severity of the situation, it is within the rights of Vault Arms, LLC to revoke the membership of the person responsible without a refund. Each accidental discharge will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the RSO and business owners.
- All shooting will be done from the firing line, or as directed by the range staff during scheduled training.
- All rounds must impact the target, and bullet trap. Shooters that fail to control founds that strike range equipment resulting in damage will be asked to leave the range. Depending on the situation, this may result in temporary suspension of the shooter(s) membership(s), termination of the shooters membership and/or the shooter will be financially responsible for any necessary repairs. Non-members may be temporarily or permanently banned from the facility.
- ALL firearms must be unloaded, cased, or actions open when taken to and from the firing line. Inexperience shooters are to advise the RSO if assistance is needed.
- When a “Cease Fire” is called by an RSO or any shooter on the range, stop all shooting, place the firearm on the bench and step back from the firing line and wait for instruction from the RSO.
- Smoking is not allowed under any circumstance on the range, staging area, or spectator areas.
- IN ALL CASES THE RSO’S DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING. HIS/HER DECISIONS ARE BASED ON THE CURRENT SITUATION AS IT EXISTS, AND HIS/HER JUDGEMENT DICTATES. THER RSO’S DECISIONS MAY SUPERCEDE THE GENERAL PRINTED RULES OR SOP.
- The RSO on duty is tasked with the authority to require anyone shooting on the range be given additional training before being allowed to shoot on the range again and revoking their range use.
- Participants new to shooting might be required to have a training session with a Vault Arms, LLC RSO at an additional cost or be accompanied by an experience shooter that can properly instruct them.
- Target must be stapled to the cardboard backer below the clamps holding the cardboard. This helps ensure the clamps and equipment do not get shot. Do not use the clamps to secure your target to the cardboard, USE THE PROVIDED STAPLE GUNS!!!!
INCORRECT CORRECT TI Shooting Simulator - Absolutely no real firearms in this room. Firearms must be secured in your vehicle prior to engaging in any scenario-based training.
- No food or drink in the simulator room.
- Treat all training guns as if they are real firearms. The simulator is designed for real-world training and absolutely no horseplay is allowed.
- Any trainee under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by an adult.
Children on the Range - Children under eighteen years of age will not be allowed in the firing range without supervision from an adult member, parent, or guardian.
- Children ages five and below will not be allowed on the Gun range, or to be left unsupervised by a parent or guardian.
- Children ages 14 and under must be accompanied one-on-one by an adult parent or guardian with 100 percent eyes-on supervision. Adults in charge of watching each child will not be allowed to shoot.
- Children will not be left unsupervised on the range or in the store at any time. Children found unsupervised will be escorted to the adult, parent, or guardian and asked to leave the property for the safety of the children and others using the facility.
- All children must be fitted with eye and ear protection while visiting the range. Earmuffs, earplugs, and safety eyewear are available for rent at the counter.
Firearms Carry & Handling - Procedures for transporting firearms while entering and leaving the Vault Arms, LLC facilities.
- Firearms that are concealed or open carried in a holster must remain in a holster, as well as firearms in a bag or case must remain in the bag or case when transporting them between the parking lot, store, and range.
- Once you have reached inside the range; uncase the firearm with the muzzle pointing downrange ensuring the action is open, only take magazines and ammunition out of the case for the firearm to be shot. One rifle is allowed in the shooting stall at a time. Up to two pistols are allowed on the shooting table at one time, but only one pistol can be in use, and loaded at a time.
- When you have completed firing you must clear all weapons and stow them properly in their cases prior to exiting the range area. Those who are carrying a personal pistol either open carry or concealed can ready their firearm and must holster the firearm while facing down range prior to exiting their shooting booth.
Cease Fire Procedure - When a verbal “Cease Fire” is heard all shotting must stop immediately, unload firearm ensuring the chamber is empty and remove magazines.
- Fix actions open.
- Place firearm on the bench with muzzles pointed downrange.
- Before anyone moves downrange, all people must move behind the firing line and acknowledge the cease fire verbally or visually to the RSO.
- Absolutely no firearm handling during a cease fire.
- Anyone handling a firearm during a cease fire should be reported to the RSO.
Emergencies and Incident Reporting - In the event of an emergency please follow these procedures.
- Cease Fire Immediately
- Notify the RSO
- Follow all the instructions given by the RSO.
- Offer assistance if you can.
- Take charge of the situation. Determine the seriousness of the injury.
- Render aid if able. The first-aid kit is located behind the front counter.
- Call the duty manager, as well as 911 or delegate someone to call 911.
- Direct help to location. Delegate someone to be at the entrance to further assist emergency medical personnel.
- Take notes as soon as practical. Interview witnesses and get written statements. Safety incident report sheets are in the storage room.
First Aid Procedures - All personnel rendering first aid should be aware of the precautions surrounding blood-borne pathogens in an accident. The following guidelines should be followed if someone is injured : if you encounter biohazardous materials including but not limited to: blood, secretions, cerebrospinal fluid, synovial fluid, pleural fluid, pericardial fluid, peritoneal fluid, amniotic fluid, anybody visibly contaminated with blood, any un-affixed organ or tissue from a human, living or dead, and the disposal of cleaning items and first aid dressings. Universal precautions should be used; all blood and body fluids listed above must be treated as potentially infectious.

Vault Arms Hygiene Guidelines - All users of Vault Arms, LLC facilities are strongly encouraged to follow these guidelines to ensure minimal exposure to lead particulate.
- Refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, or otherwise placing hands in proximity to the mouth or nose while on the range or cleaning a firearm.
- Wash your hands and face with soap and water after leaving the range or cleaning area before eating or drinking.
- Change and wash clothing after a shooting or gun cleaning session to minimize exposure to airborne particulate lead or solvent and cleaning product residues
Waiver & Release, Assumption of Risk & Indemnity Agreement I, undersigned, hereby acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to enter on to and to engage in or observe shooting and other activities at the Shooting Range Facility (the "RANGE") at Vault Arms, LLC (“Vault Arms”). These activities include, but are not limited to, the use and discharge of firearms at the RANGE, the use and discharge of rental firearms provided by the RANGE and the services and training by employees of the RANGE. I acknowledge and understand that shooting activities are inherently hazardous and involve both known and unanticipated risks which could result in damage or destruction of property and physical or emotional injury, including paralysis or death, of myself or of other persons. These risks include, but are not limited to: being shot by or shooting myself or others; partial or total loss of eyesight or hearing; inhalation or other harmful contact with lead or other contaminants; and being struck by flying or falling objects. I further understand that the discharging of firearms and the use of ammunition have inherent dangers that no amount of care, instruction, or expertise can eliminate. I further acknowledge and understand that the RANGE is an indoor shooting facility which utilizes a series of component parts, including a bullet trap to decelerate discharged ammunition; however, I understand that these component parts and bullet traps of the RANGE, do not, in every instance, contain bullets or bullet fragments and has been known to cause ricochets which could cause serious personal injury or death. I further acknowledge and understand that Vault Arms makes no warranty as to the design, manufacture, condition or fitness for any particular purpose of any RANGE facilities or equipment, including, but not limited to: firearms, ammunition, eye/hearing protection, and first-aid supplies. I represent that I have never been convicted of a felony in any of the 50 United States. Texas law prohibits any person convicted of a felony to be present in any environment where firearms are present. I represent that I am experienced and skilled in the proper handling, loading, use and discharge of all firearms and ammunition I intend to use at the RANGE. I understand that the RANGE is specifically relying on the truth of my representations concerning my experience with firearms, in permitting me to make use of the RANGE. As lawful consideration for being permitted by Vault Arms to enter on to the RANGE, to use RANGE facilities or equipment and to engage in or observe shooting and other activities at the RANGE, as either a Member or a Guest, I agree as follows: I agree to assume full responsibility for any and all risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, of whatsoever any kind and nature, which I might incur as a result of entering on to the RANGE and in using RANGE facilities or equipment and in engaging in or observing shooting and other activities at the RANGE. I agree to assume all responsibility and liability for any act or acts, even negligent, reckless, or criminal act or omission to act, of my Guests at the RANGE. (I understand that "my Guests" includes any and all persons who enter on to the RANGE, use the RANGE facilities or engage in or observe shooting and other activities at the RANGE as a result of my express invitation, permission or consent). I agree that I will ensure that each of my Guests read and sign a "Release, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement." Guests also include any MINORS under guardianship of the undersigned (MINOR is defined as any person under the age of 18 on the date the activities on RANGE are to take place). Each MINOR participating in RANGE activities must be included in the GUARDIANSHIP section at the bottom of this document and is therefore also bound by “Release, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement.” I agree to abide by Vault Arms’ Code of Conduct and to ensure my Guests do so as well. I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any and all claims I, my next of kin, heirs, guardians, representatives, assigns or any other person claiming under me completely and without reservation that I may have against Vault Arms, its agents, officers, members, employees, instructors, owners, volunteers, or representatives from any and all injuries or damages that I may sustain as a result of me entering on to the RANGE, using RANGE facilities or equipment, or engaging in or observing shooting range activities. Also, I, my next of kin, heirs, guardians, representatives, assigns or any other person claiming under me, forever release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the Vault Arms, its agents, officers, members, employees, instructors, owners, volunteers, or representatives for any personal injury, death, disability, property damage, property theft or acts and/or omissions of whatsoever kind and nature including, but not limited to, those caused by its negligence or other acts including, but not limited to, those acts and/or omissions of other participants or persons at the RANGE. I further acknowledge and agree that it is my understanding and intent that this Agreement, and any signed written amendments or modifications to it, shall remain in full force and effect from the date of execution and ever after shall be applicable to each and every occasion that I or my Guests enter on to the RANGE, use RANGE facilities or equipment or engage in or observe shooting and other activities at the RANGE. I further agree to accept financial responsibility for the repair of any EQUIPMENT that I rent, borrow, or use that is owned by Vault Arms in the event that damages were directly caused by MINE or my GUESTS’ inappropriate use of said EQUIPMENT. I have carefully read this "Release, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement" and fully know its contents. I acknowledge that no other inducement, assurance or guarantee has been made to me in consideration of my signing this Agreement which I sign voluntarily and of my own free will. I further acknowledge and agree that this Agreement may be amended or modified only by a writing signed by me and by an authorized agent of Vault Arms. Today's Date: May 31, 2025 |
