If a storm forms return to slip, lightning and swells can form rapidly.  Storms often pass quickly and possibly allow you time to return to your fun.  If you decide to remain out with the above weather conditions you are at your own risk and responsible for your own safety, security, risk and liabilities and those of the passengers on board..

N/A REQUIREMENTS for operating a vessel while a person is waterskiing or participating in similar activities identified in s.327.37, F.S., if applicable

PROPULSION steering and stopping characteristics of vessels: Discuss in general and as to the specific vessel being leased or rented; Proper starting procedure, Shift MUST be in neutral to start, start out slow going forward and in reverse.  If high heat alarm comes on turn engine off.  If this happens first check that engine is “peeing” staff will demonstrate, if not clear foreign debris from motor WHILE engine is NOT turned on.  This is the single largest expense to “renter” that can be caused is by damaging the engine.Kill switch demo and explained as well as the “trim” propeller must be in water while engine is on at all times. Boats have no brakes and do not steer while in Neutral.

Be sure to distribute weight evenly in the boat particularly with large groups.  In rough water distribute more weight in back to keep the bow “front” of boat elevated.  Approach large swells/waves from a 45 degree angle and not head on.  In a head on approach boat can “nosedive” into the water.
